15 - 16 Year Old Race Class Instructions

The oldest racers start first, so this class will be the first to race.

 
Enter the high school through the atrium on the east side of the building.  At the check-in table, you will receive your timing chip, heat number, get marked and turn in a waiver if you haven't already done so.  Follow the steps to the left, downstairs where the swimmers will stage in front of the pool entrances.  Volunteers will take you through the restrooms to the pool according to heat.  It is your responsibility to be in the staging area when your heat is called. 



Your swim will consist of 200 yards; 8 lengths of the pool.


Your bike will consist of one, 4 mile loop FOLLOWED BY one 2 miles loop for a total of 6 miles!.  [See Course Map Prior]  **DO NOT MISTAKE THE 2 MILE TURN AROUND FOR THE 4 MILE TURN AROUND!!  THE 4 MILE TURN AROUND IS AT RETREAT CIRCLE!!**  At EACH turn around point, a volunteer will mark your right wrist to show you have completed the entire loop. 


Your run is one, 1 mile loop.  [See Course Map Prior]

13 - 14 Year Old Race Class Instructions

The oldest racers start first, so this class will be one of the first to race.

11 & 12 Year Old Race Class Instructions

Your swim will consist of 75 yards; 3 lengths of the pool.

7 & 8 Year Old Race Class Instructions

The oldest racers start first, so this class will be one of the last to race.

Your bike will consist of one, 2 mile loop.  [See Course Map Prior]  At the turn around point, a volunteer will mark your right wrist to show you have completed the entire course.

0-6 Age Class Race Instructions

The oldest racers start first, so this class will race last.  This will help make sure the course is clear for the younger bikers and allow the lane lines to be removed for your swim.

Enter the high school through the atrium on the east side of the building.  At the check-in table, you will receive your timing chip, heat number, get marked and turn in a waiver if you haven't already done so.  Follow the steps to the left, downstairs where the swimmers will stage in front of the pool entrances.  Volunteers will take you through the restrooms to the pool according to heat.  It is your responsibility to be in the staging area when your heat is called. 

Your swim will consist of 15 yards across the pool.

What The Race Numbers Mean

We will be using "through back" race numbers that are leftover from the Hilltop Kids' Tri.  For purposes of this year's TriTonka races:

1. All adult racers will have red, 3 digit numbers starting with the number 4 and green lettering

2. All 0-6 age group racers, will have red, single digit numbers and dark blue lettering.

3. All 7-8 age group racers, will have red, 3 digit numbers starting with the number 1 and purple lettering

4. All 9-10 age group racers, will have red, 3 digit numbers starting with the number 2 and green lettering

5. All 11-16 age group racers, will have red, 3 digit numbers starting with the number 3 and blue lettering
